Flare Baton Team is a privately owned baton twirling group in Pinellas County, Florida. Originally founded as the "Florida Twisters Baton Club," this program continues a legacy of teamwork, pride, and community.

Flare is dedicated to supporting students at all levels. The program has proudly produced twirlers at the highest competitive level within the National Baton Twirling Association (NBTA), and Division 1 Universities.

For those not seeking competition, recreational classes support twirlers' opportunity to perform for the community at parades, exhibitions, and school sporting events. Flare recognizes that some twirlers wish to become national champions, and some simply hope to share an activity with their friends. There is a class for everyone at Flare.

Competitive Classes

Once students have learned the foundations of baton twirling, they are invited to audition for a competition team. These teams travel across the state of Florida and Southeast region, typically in the Spring time, to perform and compete against state and regional baton twirling teams. Competitive Teams are expected to purchase their own equipment, including batons, shoes, practice uniforms, and performance costumes.

Individual Lessons

Baton students who wish to compete individually may learn individual competition routines through private lessons with Flare coaches. Individual competitors may compete in a variety of events, including Solo, Strut, Multiple Baton, etc. At this time, Flare primarily competes within the NBTA and AAU organizations.
